Student Learning, Teaching & Assessment Team
Our student learning, teaching and assessment team help improve education by creating a space for collaboration between students, teachers, and administrators. Using our SSE process, they provide regular feedback from students and staff to improve teaching methods and address learning needs. It gives students a platform to share concerns and suggestions, making them feel heard. It fosters a collaborative, innovative, and continuous improvement culture for both students and teachers.
In short, the team enhances the overall educational experience by promoting collaboration, feedback, and ongoing improvement.
Current Focus
Promoting quality learning and teaching in our classrooms is a priority for us in Firhouse Community College. We work with staff, students and parents to reflect on areas working well and in need of improvement. Our learning, teaching and assessment team implement strategies to support our students to reach their potential.
We are currently working on "Students have a sense of ownership of their learning, take pride in it, and responsibility for improving it" (LAOS, p. 29).
